Education through Immersion
World Vision is a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with families and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. An opportunity opened for Kounterattack to apply an immersive experience approach to their efforts.
Bringing Attention
The world has yet to tackle the persistent problem of HIV and AIDS awareness properly. How should we communicate to an audience the struggles and challenges of those affected through an impactful experience? How could we stop someone's already busy schedule and have them break to feel emotionally connected to these communities and issues?
Full Immersion
It starts with empathy and raising public awareness. Kounterattack created a digital experience viewed within a hut, constructed within New York City's Grand Central Station. Slowing commuters down to understand the struggle of the communities affected.
The overall narrative was audio-driven with carefully curated graphics that created an engaging experience. At the end of the experience, viewers were able to light a digital candle, donate, or write a note to express themselves in the virtual chapel. It was a powerful experience that created a portal to a community for support and awareness.
This project was the winner of the prestigious People's Voice Webby Award for Rich Media Advertising in the Non-profit/Educational category.
